UDHAMPUR, March 30 -- Udhampur Police today inaugurated the Martyr PSI Deepak Sharma Memorial Sports Tournament at Government Degree College (Boys) Udhampur to pay tribute to the martyr of J&K Police.
The tournament was declared open by Addl. SP Udhampur Sh. Sandeep Bhat along with DySP DAR DPL Lines Sh. Jatinder Singh Sambyal in the presence of other officers & officials.
While addressing the gathering, Addl. SP Udhampur emphasized the importance of sports in shaping the youth, stating that sports activities help channelize energy in a positive direction, promote physical and mental fitness and keep youth away from social evils such as drug abuse.
