Jammu, April 24 -- In the wake of the tragic bus accident in Jallo Kaghot, Ramnagar, on April 20 that claimed 21 lives, the district administration has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident. An official notification to this effect has been issued.
According to the notification issued by the office of the District Magistrate, Udhampur, the Additional District Magistrate has been appointed as the inquiry officer to probe the circumstances leading to the accident. The inquiry aims to ascertain the exact cause of the mishap and fix responsibility.
Meanwhile, the police have launched a crackdown on buses operating in the hilly areas of Udhampur and Ramnagar, intensifying enforcement measures in the aftermath of the tragedy.
