Srinagar, Feb. 12 -- Barring the hill stations, night temperatures across the Kashmir Valley remained largely above the freezing point, the Meteorological Department said on Thursday.

According to the MeT office, minimum temperatures were 1-3degC above normal at many places in the Kashmir Division, while in the Jammu Division they remained near normal, hovering between 0-4degC of the seasonal average.

The lowest minimum temperature in Kashmir was recorded at the ski resort of Gulmarg at minus 5.5degC. In the Jammu Division, Bhaderwah was the coldest at 1.2degC.
