JAMMU, Oct. 1 -- Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today completed and inaugurated a rainwater harvesting project at Government Girls High School, Gandhi Nagar. The project, initiated around two months ago, was inaugurated by Dr. Devansh Yadav, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, as part of the Corporation's ongoing efforts towards water conservation, groundwater recharge and sustainable environmental management. The programme was organised as part of the Seva Parv activities. A water conservation pledge was also administered on the occasion, in which students, teachers and JMC officials pledged to save water, prevent its wastage and use this precious natural resource judiciously.
