JAMMU, Oct. 6 -- The indefinite peaceful protest by the JKTDC Employees Union entered its ninth consecutive day on Tuesday, with employees reiterating their demand for immediate resolution of several long-pending service, financial and administrative issues confronting the employees and the Corporation.

The protest was led by Union President Qamar Din, Chairman Arvind Tickoo and General Secretary Anata Koul, along with other office-bearers and employees.

The Union has sought adequate budgetary support for JKTDC, immediate release of pending retirement benefits and remittance of Contributory Provident Fund (CPF) dues, which, according to the employees, have remained pending for nearly 52 months.
