Jammu, July 3 -- In a shocking twist that raises serious questions about internal security, Rohingya refugees already under scrutiny for past involvement in human trafficking-have now surfaced at the center of a growing theft racket in Jammu. The latest recovery of two stolen scooties and Rs.6,000 in cash has thrown light on a disturbing nexus between foreign nationals and local criminal gangs.
The breakthrough came during a swift and targeted operation led by PSI Tanvinder Singh, In-Charge Police Post GMC, under the overall supervision of SHO Bakshi Nagar and SDPO City West. Acting on credible intelligence and technical surveillance, the police apprehended four accused individuals, including two Rohingya nationals.
