JAMMU, July 2 -- Jammu Rural Police have achieved a major breakthrough by solving a high-value theft case registered at Police Station Domana and arresting two accused persons. During the investigation, police recovered ?7.82 lakh in cash, around 35 grams of gold ornaments, a pair of silver kada, and also froze ?3.39 lakh lying in the accused's bank account.

According to police, the theft took place on May 24, 2026, when complainant Sahil Kumar Sharma had gone shopping with his family at Bishmi Mart in Anand Nagar, Bohri. During the visit, a ladies' handbag containing cash and gold and silver ornaments was stolen from his vehicle.
