JAMMU, Aug. 9 -- In a breakthrough against the menace of drug trafficking, Jammu Police achieved a major success by apprehending a notorious interstate drug peddler and seizing a large quantity of contraband.
The operation was carried out by a team of Police Post Panjtirthi, led by I/C PP Panjtirthi PSI Anil Manhas, along with SgCt Mohd Kabir and SPO Balram Singh, under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga, Inspector Rakesh Mani.
During a routine surveillance operation near Atal Chowk, Panjtirthi, the alert police team intercepted a pedestrian carrying a nylon sack, approaching from the Sidhra side. On noticing the police presence, the suspect tried to flee the spot, but was swiftly overpowered and taken into custody.
