JAMMU, June 10 -- Continuing its sustained crackdown against bovine smuggling under Operation Kamdhenu, Jammu (Rural) Police successfully foiled two bovine smuggling attempts in the jurisdiction of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and rescued 39 bovine animals.
During naka checking at Panjal, a police party intercepted a truck bearing registration No. JK14G-0065 and found 12 bovines animals being transported illegally. The animals were tied and transported in a cruel manner without fodder or water.
While the driver fled from the spot, the vehicle along with the bovines were seized for legal action.
Accordingly, FIR No. 84/2026 under Section 223 of BNS and Section 11 of PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investiga...
