JAMMU, Aug. 1 -- The Ticket Checking Staff of Northern Railway, Jammu Division, demonstrated alertness and dedication by recovering and returning passengers' valuables in two separate incidents in a timely manner.
On 31 July 2026*, after Train No. 22429 Delhi-Pathankot Superfast departed from Amritsar station, information was received through Rail Madad that a passenger's bag had been stolen from coach D1-46.
Acting immediately, the Ticket Checking Staff on duty contacted the passenger and gathered details. Upon enquiry with other passengers, it was found that some individuals had moved towards the general coaches.
