JAMMU, May 9 -- The 2nd National Lok Adalat for the year 2026 was conducted today in District Court Complex, Jammu, under the guidance of Chairman DLSA/Principal District & Sessions Judge R. N. Watal and overall supervision of Sub-Judge/ Secretary DLSA Maleeka Sharma.
Chairman R. N. Watal inaugurated the National Lok Adalat. He highlighted the importance of Lok Adalat in resolving long-pending disputes through mutually acceptable settlements. He emphasized the benefits of Lok Adalat, including speedy justice, reduced litigation costs and preservation of relationships, making it an attractive option for litigants seeking efficient dispute resolution.
