JAMMU, Oct. 11 -- Today on 11 October,2025 International Girl Child Day was organised in Govt Model Hr Sec School Hiranagar on the theme 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padao' in collaboration with Social Welfare Department. MLA Hiranagar Advocate Vijay Kumar Sharma was the chief guest of the programme. This scheme was launched by The Hon'ble Prime Minister Narender Modi ji on 22 January 2015 at Panipat, Haryana in order to give a boost to the declining sex ratio.
Various baby care kits were distributed among the new born babies by the chief guest, District Coordinator Mission Shakti and TSWO HIranagar.
