Jammu, Aug. 24 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday assured full support from the Central Government to the Jammu and Kashmir administration in the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts for families affected by the recent cloudburst and flash floods in Chishoti village of Kishtwar district, which claimed 65 lives.
Although the Defence Minister was unable to visit the cloudburst-affected area due to inclement weather, he chaired a high-level review meeting at Raj Bhavan in Jammu to assess the rescue and relief operations. The meeting was attended by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, senior Army officers, and top officials from the civil administration.
