Mathura, March 30 -- Mathura Lok Sabha MP Hema Malini demanded a special package to develop Mathura as an international tourist destination, and requested its inclusion in the FY 26-27 budget, on Friday in Lok Sabha.
She said that Mathura is a popular tourist destination in India now, and Vrindavan is also witnessing a record number of tourists. The number is expected to go up since an airport is coming up in Jewar.
Mathura has the potential to become a key cultural and religious tourism destination. A special package is therefore needed to ensure world-class tourist facilities, to enhance Road and Rail connectivity, to provide for standard amenities, to develop the Yamuna Riverfront, and to develop and beautify Brij 84 Kos Parikrama Marg...
