CHANDIGARH, May 13 -- Punjab Cabinet Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains assumed charge of the Local Government department at the Municipal Bhawan here. Notably, the young minister, already steering the School Education, Higher Education & Languages, Technical Education and Information & Public Relations departments, was warmly welcomed by Administrative Secretary Local Government Mr. Manjit Singh Brar, Special Secretary Ms. Deepti Uppal and other senior officials.
