KATHUA, Aug. 5 -- Government Degree College for Women, Kathua, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotic fervor by organizing a series of engaging and meaningful activities from 1st to 5th August 2025. Under the patronage of the college Principal, Dr. Savi Behl, the events aimed to foster national pride, creativity, and awareness among students through active participation in cultural and educational programs.

The celebrations commenced on 1st August with a Poster Making Competition on the theme "Unsung Heroes of Indian Freedom Movement."
