Darhal, Nov. 8 -- Government Degree College Darhal celebrated the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The programme was organized under the guidance of the Principal, Prof. Zamir Ahmed Mirza, and witnessed active participation from both staff and students.
The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram by the college choir. Several students delivered speeches, recited poems, and presented cultural performances highlighting the historical and cultural significance of the song composed by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1875.
