Jammu, Oct. 2 -- The 156th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was observed with solemnity and enthusiasm at Paloura, Jammu North. The programme was organized by Congress workers under the leadership of Hari Singh Chib, Vice President JKPCC and Incharge District President Jammu Rural.
The function began with garlanding the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, followed by an all-faith prayer meeting. Senior leaders and party activists recalled the contributions of Bapu in India's freedom struggle and his universal message of Satya (truth) and Ahimsa (non-violence).
