Jammu, Oct. 3 -- In a significant development, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has granted permission to the family members of jailed climate activist Sonam Wangchuk to meet him at Jodhpur Jail in Rajasthan, where he has been lodged following his arrest in the aftermath of the September 24 violence in Leh.

Confirming the development, Chering Dorjay Lakrook, co-chairperson of the Leh Apex Body (LAB) and president of the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA), said that Wangchuk's family members have already reached New Delhi and are on their way to Jodhpur to meet him.
