SRINAGAR, Aug. 2 -- The Economic Offences Wing today arrested an accused individual allegedly involved in a multi-crore rupee fraud case and conducted raids at several locations in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Economic Offences Wing (EoW), formerly known as the Crime Branch Kashmir, arrested Shahid Rehman Bhat of Shangus, Nowgam Anantnag, the proprietor of M/S AR Trading Agri Services Pvt. Ltd. Raids were also conducted as part of the ongoing investigation.
The EoW registered a case following multiple written complaints, wherein it was alleged that Bhat had cheated them on the pretext of providing them high density apple plants.
