REASI, March 2 -- Continuing its intensified drive against drug trafficking, District Police Reasi achieved a significant success after apprehending a drug peddler at a special Naka laid by Police Station Katra.
On 01/03/2026, a special checking Naka was established at Kadmal, Katra by a police party of PS Katra. During the checking, one person who was coming on foot from the Nomai side towards Katra was signalled to stop for routine verification.
During enquiry, he disclosed his identity as Mohd. Iqbal S/O Ghulam Hussain R/O Dhanori, Katra. Upon his personal search, 6.28 grams of heroin (Chitta)-like substance was recovered from his possession.
