JAMMU, June 22 -- Continuing its sustained efforts under the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Jammu Rural Police organized anti-drug awareness programmes at different locations to educate the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free society. At Naresh Chowk, Suketar, Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, in collaboration with respected civil society members, organized a joint Shabeel Programme during which refreshments were distributed among the public. An awareness lecture was delivered highlighting the ill effects of drug addiction and the collective responsibility of society in combating the menace.
Around 35-40 local residents participated in the programme and expressed their support for the campaign.
