DODA, Oct. 3 -- As part of its continued drive to ensure road safety, traffic discipline and compliance with public health regulations, District Police Doda conducted enforcement drives across various Police Stations of the district.
During the drive, police teams took action against 40 violations under the Motor Vehicles Act, besides seizing 01 vehicle for violation of relevant provisions. The action was carried out across Doda, Bhaderwah, Gandoh, Thathri and Assar areas.
Simultaneously, continuing its drive against smoking in public places and violations of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), Police challaned 21 persons across the district and realised a total fine of Rs 1,850/-.
