REASI, Aug. 12 -- In a firm action against the sale and use of banned nylon 'Gattu' thread, District Police Reasi today recovered 34 rolls of the prohibited material from the possession of Amit Kumar S/O Darshan Kumar R/O Ward No. 11, Matyal, Katra.
The recovery was made by Police Station Katra during a special drive to curb the illegal stocking and sale of nylon string, which poses serious threats to human life, birds and the environment.
In this regard, FIR No. 228/2025 U/S 223 BNS has been registered at P/S Katra and investigation has been initiated.
