RAMBAN, Oct. 5 -- Continuing its sustained drive against absconders and proclaimed offenders District Police Ramban has apprehended an absconder who had been evading arrest for the last 33 years since 1993. The arrested accused has been identified as Mohd. Rafiq S/o Mohd. Hussain, R/o Khoz Tangdar, Tehsil Karnah, District Kupwara.
The accused was apprehended from Lakhanpur by ASI Ravinder Kumar Sharma of Police Station Ramban in connection with FIR No. 14/1993 U/S 366, 34 RPC and FIR No. 118/2008 U/S 376, 366, 109 RPC, both registered at Police Station Ramban.
