Jammu, Sept. 25 -- A day after unprecedented violence rocked Leh town, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) confirmed that the next round of talks with Ladakh's agitating groups will go ahead as scheduled next month.

On Thursday morning, a meeting was held in Leh between members of the Apex Committee and representatives of the MHA. It was decided that a preparatory meeting would be held in New Delhi on September 27 or 28, with the exact date to be confirmed later. The meeting will be attended by three representatives each from the Leh Apex Body (LAB) and the Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA).
