RAJOURI, April 12 -- Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today inspected the newly established Wool Collection, Processing & Training Centre at Gujjar Mandi.

The facility has been set up to strengthen the rural economy and support the tribal population associated with sheep rearing.

The centre has been established by the District Sheep Husbandry Office (DSHO) with space provided by the district administration.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner was informed that nearly 7 lakh kilograms of wool is produced annually in the district, primarily by the tribal population.
