KATHUA, Oct. 14 -- Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rajesh Sharma today chaired a meeting here at the DC Office Complex to review the implementation of Solid Waste Management Rules in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the waste management practices being presently followed and stressed the need for effective implementation of the prescribed rules governing collection, segregation, transportation and scientific disposal of solid waste.
He directed the concerned departments to ensure strict compliance with the applicable rules and emphasised the identification and proper management of bulk waste generators.
