JAMMU, April 21 -- The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has upheld the bail granted to the accused in a UAPA case registered at Police Station Tral, while at the same time strongly disapproving the manner in which the trial court handled the matter.

The appeal was filed by the Union Territory against the order dated November 30, 2023, passed by the Special Judge designated under the NIA Act, Pulwama, whereby Shahid Nazir Bhat and others were released on bail in FIR No. 149/2022 for offences punishable under Sections 18, 23, 38 and 39 of the ULA(P) Act and Section 7/25 of the Arms Act.
