UDHAMPUR, July 31 -- The Congress Party on Friday expressed serious concern over the reported suspension of surgeries at the Associated Hospital, Government Medical College (GMC), Udhampur, alleging that rainwater leakage in the operation theatres has exposed glaring deficiencies in the hospital's infrastructure. District Congress Committee (DCC) President Sumeet Magotra, along with party workers, visited the hospital to take stock of the situation after receiving complaints from patients. During the visit, he interacted with patients and attendants, many of whom claimed that surgical procedures had been postponed for nearly two weeks as two of the hospital's three operation theatres had become unusable due to roof leakages.
