JAMMU, Aug. 9 -- Today, the Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch (BTSM) celebrated Raksha Bandhan by tying rakhis (sacred threads) around trees and planting new ones in Jammu. Participants pledged to protect the environment and conserve trees. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of trees and promote environmental consciousness and preservation.
The event, titled "Rakhi for Nature, Trees for Life," included the tying of traditional rakhis as a symbol of love and protection, followed by a tree plantation drive.
