JAMMU, Oct. 14 -- The Veterinary Section of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today organized an Awareness Drive on Environmental Management of Dairies/Gaushalas and Adoption of Scientific Dung Disposal Mechanisms in Wards No. 34, 35, 36, 37, 63, 64, and 75.
Dr. Divya Sharma, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (VAS), JMC, along with officials from the Veterinary and Health Sections, conducted the awareness drive. Dairy owners and gaushala operators from areas including Janipur, Lakkar Mandi, Chinore, Bantalab, Paloura, and Durga Nagar were sensitized about the mandatory registration of dairies/gaushalas operating within JMC limits and the need to adopt scientific dung disposal mechanisms such as installation of biogas plants, vermi-compost units...
