Srinagar, Aug. 5 -- Terming August 5, 2019 as historic day that marked constitutional correction and a new beginning for Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said that it ended discriminatory system in the region.
Addressing a programme organized to handover appointment letters to terror victim families here, LG Sinha said, "The transformation we witness today in Jammu Kashmir is due to the historic changes of August 5, 2019. That day marked a constitutional correction and a new beginning for the UT. Discriminatory barriers were removed, equal rights were extended to those who were suffering due to discriminatory laws.
