JAMMU, Oct. 6 -- The Department of Cardiology, Superspeciality Hospital, Government Medical College, Jammu, has achieved another significant milestone with the successful first implantation of an AVEIR VR leadless pacemaker in the department.The case was particularly challenging. The patient had previously undergone pacemaker implantation at another centre on the left side, which was complicated by device infection. A second pacemaker was subsequently implanted on the right side, which again developed infection. The patient was therefore left without a permanent pacemaker.
