Anantnag, May 7 -- Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking and illegal narcotics networks, Anantnag Police on Thursday attached immovable property worth approximately Rs 2.5 crore belonging to an alleged notorious drug peddler under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
Police said the attached property includes a double-storied residential house, a shopping complex comprising 20 shops, and land measuring 1 Kanal and 6 Marlas.
The property belongs to Javid Ahmad Rather, son of Mohd Abdullah Rather, a resident of Waghama, who is involved in FIR No. 237/2021 under Section 8/15 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bijbehara.
