Poonch, Aug. 26 -- At least six persons were killed after a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in Poonch district on Wednesday evening, officials said. They said the accident occurred at around 5:30 pm when the vehicle (No. JK20A/8702) skidded of the road near Seri Chouhana area in Surankote.
The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Shafiq; Nazakat Hussain, son of Mohammad Sharif; Sheraz Ahmed, son of Shamashdin; Musarat Naz, daughter of Liaqat Hussain; Mohammad Fasid, son of Mohammad Rashid; and Zulfat Bi, wife of Mohammad Ameen-all residents of Seri Chouhana.
Officials said the bodies were shifted to District Hospital Poonch for medico-legal formalities.
