SRINAGAR, Sept. 25 -- Minister for Jal Shakti, Javed Ahmed Rana, today informed the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly that as many as 33 water supply schemes are presently operational in Trehgam Constituency, catering to the drinking water requirements of 39 villages.
The Minister was responding to a Calling Attention Motion moved by MLA Mir Saifullah concerning the scarcity of drinking water and inadequate water supply in several villages of Trehgam Constituency.
Giving details of the drinking water supply situation in the constituency, the Minister said that 26 of the 39 villages currently have no shortage of drinking water facilities.
