India, May 1 -- A quiet but important shift is unfolding in India's AI landscape. Innefu Labs government AI projects have taken a significant step forward with the company's empanelment under the National e-Governance Division as part of the Digital India programme. Out of more than 80 applicants, only six organisations were selected, signalling a focused effort to build a trusted ecosystem for AI-led governance.

This move is not just about selection. It reflects how the government is structuring AI adoption-carefully, selectively and at scale.
