Hitachi Energy Factory Investment Signals India's Grid Expansion Push
India, June 15 -- India's clean energy ambitions often grab attention through massive solar parks, wind farms, and ambitious renewable targets. But generating electricity is only part of the challenge. Delivering that power efficiently across the country is becoming just as important.
The Hitachi Energy factory investment of Rs.2,000 crore in a new Large Power Transformer (LPT) manufacturing facility in Karjan, Vadodara, Gujarat, highlights this shift. Scheduled for completion by FY28, the project is expected to create more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs while strengthening India's power transmission capabilities.
