India, July 21 -- Artificial intelligence is changing enterprise operations at a rapid pace. But according to new research from IDC, sponsored by Commvault, many organisations are expanding AI faster than they are strengthening the identity systems needed to support it. The findings point to a growing disconnect between AI adoption and cyber resilience, with agentic AI identity management emerging as a critical concern.

The study surveyed 539 IT and resilience decision-makers across North America. Nearly 90% said their organisations need stronger identity management to handle the risks introduced by AI agents and autonomous systems.
