India, Oct. 1 -- Canon is taking its consumer printing business deeper into India's smaller cities. The Canon India retail expansion plan targets more than 10,000 active retailers across 700 cities by the end of 2027, effectively doubling its current retail reach.

The move comes as Canon reports sustained double-digit year-on-year growth in its Consumer Printing business. More importantly, the expansion puts Tier II, III and IV markets at the centre of its next growth phase, spanning consumer, SME, education, enterprise and institutional segments.
