India, Aug. 4 -- Anand Birje as Hitachi CEO marks a significant leadership move as Hitachi brings together GlobalLogic, Hitachi Digital Services and Hitachi Vantara under its newly formed Digital Engineering and AI Business Unit (DEAI BU). The restructuring reflects Hitachi's growing focus on helping enterprises modernise operations through cloud, artificial intelligence, digital engineering and IT-OT integration.

Birje, who assumed the role in August 2026, said the new business will support organisations across energy, mobility and connected industries.
