India, Aug. 27 -- A deadly flood in Nepal's Rasuwa border district has sharpened calls from Hindu Kush Himalaya lawmakers for stronger regional cooperation on climate risks.

At the 2nd HKH Parliamentarians' Meet in Bhutan, speakers urged collective action, climate-smart laws and investments, and cross-border preparedness to protect vulnerable mountain communities and downstream populations across the eight-country region.
