India, Aug. 21 -- A new CSE study warns that India's rapid renewable energy growth is straining a grid still dominated by coal.
Experts at a national dialogue in New Delhi argue the transition must focus on integrating, not abruptly replacing, coal.
They call for flexible coal plants, reformed thermal PPAs and aligned tariffs to stabilise the grid, cut costs and safeguard India's clean energy gains.
