India, Oct. 15 -- Zydus Sunshine Lifesciences (Pvt) Ltd, a proposed joint venture between Zydus Lifesciences Limited and Sunshine Healthcare, part of Sunshine Holdings PLC, has signed an agreement with the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka to establish a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the BOI zone in Horana, Sri Lanka.
The agreement was signed on October 13, 2026, with the project involving a phased investment of over USD 20 million. The facility will be developed on a site spanning nearly four acres, with commercial operations expected to commence in 2028, subject to project timelines and regulatory approvals.
