India, March 24 -- Zinc prices declined by Rs 1.85 to Rs 307.20 per kg in futures trade on Tuesday as traders pared their positions, following weak cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for April delivery fell 0.6 per cent, or Rs 1.85, to Rs 307.20 per kg, with a turnover of 100 lots.

Analysts attributed the decline to reduced demand from consuming industries in the physical market, which led participants to cut their exposure.
