India, Oct. 5 -- Zinc futures edged higher on Monday, supported by increased demand from market participants and a firm trend in the physical market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for October delivery gained 95 paise, or 0.23%, to Rs 411.55 per kg, with a business turnover of 739 lots.

Market participants attributed the uptick in zinc futures to higher spot-market demand.
