India, May 11 -- Zinc prices inched up in futures trade on Monday amid higher demand in the spot market and fresh buying by traders.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery rose by 80 paise, or 0.23%, to Rs 347.50 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 37 lots.

Market participants said increased positions by traders and firm spot demand supported the uptick in zinc futures prices.
