India, Oct. 22 -- Zinc futures prices declined by Rs 2.25, or 0.53%, to Rs 420.85 per kilogram on Thursday, as traders reduced their positions amid weak demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for October delivery fell to Rs 420.85 per kg, with a business turnover of 582 lots.

Market analysts attributed the decline to subdued demand from consuming industries in the physical market, which prompted market participants to trim their positions and weighed on zinc prices.
