India, Oct. 27 -- VA TECH WABAG, a multinational water technology group, has secured a 'Mega' order from Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) for the design, engineering, supply, installation, commissioning and performance testing of a desalination plant and a remineralisation plant in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
The desalination plant will have an initial capacity of 8,400 cubic metres per hour, with provision for expansion to 12,600 cubic metres per hour, equivalent to 302 million litres per day (MLD). The project also includes a remineralisation plant with a capacity of 3,000 cubic metres per hour.
